Course Description

This course provides an overview of issues related to mobile homes and mobile home park management.  Topics include:

  • PA Manufactured Home Community Rights Act
  • Eviction Procedures
  • Warrant of habitability issues
  • Rules and regulations
  • Transfer of title
  • Abandoned homes

This course includes video recorded for the Washington County Bar Association's 2020 Winter Bench Bar.

CLE Credit:

1.0 PA Substantive CLE

This course contains approximately 60 minutes of content, all of which is required for course completion.

Your certificate of completion will be issued automatically after all elements of the course have been viewed/completed.  Credits will be reported to the CLE Board within 30 days of your completion of the course and your completion date will be reported as the day on which you actually finished the course.

Minimum System Requirements:

This course includes downloads of PDF documents (Portable Document Format) and streaming video. Viewing the documents will require Adobe Acrobat Reader or other PDF viewing software.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free from the Adobe website.

The video player will run on Mac OS, Windows and Linux as well as most mobile devices and tablets on any browser that supports Adobe Flash and/or HTML5.  Supported browsers include Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9,10,11, and Microsoft Edge.  Internet Explorer 8 is not supported on Windows XP for security reasons, but is supported on Windows 7 or higher operating systems.

An internet connection with a minimum speed of 768 kilobits per second is required.  At least 5MB/sec is recommended to stream video in full HD quality.  Please note that the video player may downgrade the quality of the video to accommodate lower connection speeds.

    Frank Kosir, Jr. Esq.
    Frank is a Partner at Meyer, Unkovic, and Scott. He has significant civil litigation and general practice experience in all areas of real property law, and prior to entering the practice of law, Frank acquired extensive experience in all facets of real estate development, sales, construction, and leasing with his family’s home construction company, which has operated for more than fifty-five years. His knowledge of the construction, planning, and business aspects of real estate provide him with a unique understanding that he utilizes in assisting clients.

    Frank was born and raised in Peters Township, Pennsylvania, where he resides with his wife and two daughters. He writes quarterly real estate update columns in The Legal Intelligencer and frequently lectures at Continuing Legal Education programs. He is also fluent in the Slovene language.

    Gary M. Sanderson, Esq.
    Gary is an Associate at Meyer, Unkovic, and Scott. He focuses his practice on a wide range of business matters. He works with new and established companies to navigate complex transactions and disputes. Gary is a member of the Real Estate & Lending, Corporate & Business Law, Litigation, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy, International Law, and Immigration Practice Groups.

    While growing up in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, Gary lived in a log cabin. He settled in Pittsburgh after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh. He now lives in the North Hills with his wife and three sons. Prior to joining the firm, Gary studied abroad in Rome, Italy. While in law school, Gary served as both a law clerk at an immigration law firm and a Teaching Assistant for international attorneys learning about the American legal system. Gary is active in the Allegheny County Bar Association and other professional and non-profit organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of Providence Connection, Inc., a local nonprofit serving the Northside communities through family support and early childhood education. In his spare time, Gary enjoys playing guitar, photography, kayaking, and running.
