Course Description

This course provides an in-depth look at the ethical issues surrounding concurrent and future conflicts of interest, including case law, exceptions, waivers, and withdrawals from representation.

This course includes video recorded for the Washington County Bar Association's 2020 Winter Bench Bar.

This course contains approximately 60 minutes of content, all of which is required for course completion.

Your certificate of completion will be issued automatically after all elements of the course have been viewed/completed.  Credits will be reported to the CLE Board within 30 days of your completion of the course and your completion date will be reported as the day on which you actually finished the course.

Minimum System Requirements:

This course includes downloads of PDF documents (Portable Document Format) and streaming video. Viewing the documents will require Adobe Acrobat Reader or other PDF viewing software.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free from the Adobe website.

The video player will run on Mac OS, Windows and Linux as well as most mobile devices and tablets on any browser that supports Adobe Flash and/or HTML5.  Supported browsers include Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9,10,11, and Microsoft Edge.  Internet Explorer 8 is not supported on Windows XP for security reasons, but is supported on Windows 7 or higher operating systems.

    Todd M. Pappasergi

    Todd M. Pappasergi is a Partner with The Lynch Law Group. He focuses his practice in litigation, business/commercial law, and complex appellate litigation. Todd has successfully represented both individual and commercial clients in a variety of matters, in state and federal court, as well as before boards of arbitration and mediators. Todd also represents and counsels public entities on matters, both in and outside of court. He has extensive experience in all areas of municipal law and currently serves as the solicitor or general counsel for several area municipal agencies and property development associations.

    Todd began his career as a staff judicial clerk for the Hon. Max Baer, Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, a position he held for six years. Through this experience, Todd gained an invaluable, insiders-view of the court system, which has continued to benefit him throughout his career in obtaining positive results for his clients at all trial and appellate levels.

    Todd earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2008 and was elected to the prestigious Order of the Barristers upon graduation. He is a member of the Washington County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is admitted to all Pennsylvania state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

    Todd was born and raised in the Mon Valley, he continues to reside in Washington County with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
